This is... a bit difficult to classify. It doesn't fall into any genre really, unless Graffiti Skating is the next big thing. But this! This is possibly one of the finest titles Sega has ever allowed to be published under its brand name.
Pros: Killer Soundtrack, Rewarding, Super Addictive, Unique, Makes Rollerskating Cool Again, Good Difficulty Curve, Cel-Shaded Style is nice, New Additions are nice.
Cons: If played on 360, There is slowdown for 99th Street, Skyscraper District can be frustrating, Nonexistent Story beyond "People Destroying Culture", No chance of a sequel, Cop Battles can be a hassle.
This is one of those games. The one that comes around, and only the well-informed people will catch wind of it. And those who do are in for a hell of a ride.
The Goal of this game is to cover the Tokyo in Graffiti. Sounds simple enough, right? These policemen really don't have anything better to do. So they chase you around trying to put a stop to you. This would usually be difficult. But the logic required to defeat the policemen adds to this game's uniqueness. I believe it goes something like this.
Roller Skates+Speed=Fast
Fast+Policeman=Policeman Embracing The Floor
Policeman Embracing The Floor+Spray Paint=Defeated Policeman.
Defeated Policeman+Rollerskating Hooligan=Police Captain Who Has A Gun
I think someone killed logic.
Either way, the skating is great, and the tricks bring along accomplishment.
Overall, One of the best games, I have ever played.
Overall Score: 10/10
Top of Show!
